The present Central Tax Audit Commissionerate, Ahmedabad came into existence with introduction of GST regime w.e.f. 01.07.2017 after merger of erstwhile Audit-I and Audit\u2013II Commissionerates of Central Excise & Service Tax, Ahmedabad.<\/p>\n

\nPrior to 01.07.2017, the jurisdiction of erstwhile Audit-I Commissionerate covered the area of two Commissionerates viz. Central Excise Ahmedabad-I & Ahmedabad-III while the area of Central Excise Ahmedabad-II and Service tax Commissionerate wascovered under the jurisdiction of Audit-II Commissionerate.<\/p>\n
